Practical Shotgun shooters meet on our outdoor ranges, shooting plates on complicated ranges which include obstacles and plates that should not be shot down. They also shoot left and right handed in the same competition, and in various postions. All this is done against the clock with a personal range officer ensuring safety at all times.

Speed Shooting: in the pictures below you can see Matt loading his 8-shot Mossberg Pump-Action Shotgun along with Range Officer Paul -

Here is Dave shooting a speed shoot with an auto -

and then a group of shooters re-set the plates ready for the next round -

And now a speed shoot with a difference - there is a coloured ball on the blue barrel (several coloured balls are available and can be picked from a bag) - you only shoot the plates with the colour you pick yourself -

Here we see the 100 yard range with several 'buildings' and things that may be hidden behind them. Several members got up early one Sunday morning to create this 'blind shoot'.
A briefing sheet was given out and then each shooter was called and picked up his shotgun and a quantity of ammo - proceeding to the start gate for entry to this previously unseen set-up. Starting with a knife, each shooter could upgrade as they went along - the picture below shows Norman getting his first upgrade t oa single shot 12G -
