Practical Shotgun shooting is a timed event measured against time (speed) and skill (accuracy).

Using section 1 Shotguns (legally classified as Firearms) - the competitor has a series of targets, or reactive plates, which must be knocked down while shooting against a timer.

Whilst the majority of shooting is "freestyle", i.e. the choice of the shooter; we also like to mix it up at Cheshunt with regular details needing both strong and weak shoulder, engagement through small windows, around barricades etc. as well as from standing, sitting, kneeling and prone positions.

Everything is shot against the clock and supervised on a one-to-one basis by a range officer throughout each course of fire.

This section, like others in the club, is active with competition shoots on the UK circuit, BBQ's and other social events.
